ABOUT THE ROLE is looking for a CFO/COO to oversee and execute the company's financial operations. Reporting to the CEO, the right candidate will bring best practices and solid hands-on skills in accounting operations & controlling, fund raising, financial management and analysis. We are looking for someone who is comfortable in a scaling startup environment and will work with our leadership team to drive results.

As a member of our leadership team, you will be at the center of our daily financials, FP&A activities, and a core partner for all strategic initiatives. This includes:

  • Manage all financial operations of the company headquartered in USA with subsidiaries in Germany, Switzerland and Austria
  • Lead and drive an efficient monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting process, ensuring that accurate and timely financial information & management reporting is available
  • Oversee the company’s accounting function, including revenue management, payables, receivables and collections, capital management, treasury, and taxes
  • Collaborate with the entire management team to formulate budgets and manage FP&A activities
  • Create insightful dashboards, provide relevant best in class benchmarks, and derive relevant recommendations
  • Drive and support strategic planning, investor, and board relations to execute corporate finance activities, including venture capital fundraising (Series B experience required)
  • Manage relationships with company’s accounting, finance, banking, and insurance vendors
  • Lead business operations cycles including annual planning and budgets, preparation to board meetings, quarterly OKR’s, and other internal all-hands
  • Manage vendor contract negotiations and develop contractual standards used for customer and partner relationships
  • Select and implement a technological solution/ ERP system for an efficient group wide consolidated financial reporting
  • Manage and develop dedicated Finance & Operations team


  • You have a bachelor or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting, US GAAP knowledge required
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as Head of Finance or in similar roles, preferably in a scale-up company
  • Experience in fundraising (Series B and beyond) and successfully managing investor relations
  • Working knowledge of Software as a Service (SaaS) financial metrics (including revenue recognition) and performance indicators, with experience in the field
  • Experience in creating and managing a complex financial model/budget
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills (esp. SaaS analytics)
  • Significant experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance-related issues
  • Experience and proficiency in SaaS accounting, billing and analysis of customer-related IT systems (e.g. Hubspot, JIRA, etc.)
  • Experience in implementing ERP systems (such as Dynamics, SAP, Acumatica, NetSuite, Epicor…)
  • Outstanding leadership skills, including clear and appreciative communication
  • You must thrive in a fast-paced, results driven, rapidly changing environment and effectively handle competing views
  • You are business fluent in German and English
