CrateDB is an Industrial IOT database technology for enterprise manufacturing and industrial organisations needing to scale the use of machine data to enable advanced real-time analytics and insights. The market's most advanced distributed SQL database, CrateDB’s technical architecture unlocks unlimited scale and speed, at a cost previously unachievable and is the only technology capable of simultaneously processing complex sensor/metadata in real time.

We are a deep-tech, VC funded startup with offices in Dornbirn (Austria), Berlin and San Francisco.


We are searching for a Channel Executive to develop and lead the channel sales initiatives in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. The objective is to recruit new Partners by indirectly selling our IoT database through SaaS companies like ISVs, service providers and hosters. You will advocate CrateDB, the fastest growing database for the machine data world, deepen our engagement with Microsoft and the Azure ISV ecosystem and help our partners to accelerate the adoption of CrateDB within their customers. We're looking for an innovative, highly motivated, creative, execution oriented Channel Executives with great energy and passion to maximize the huge market opportunity that exists for CrateDB today. There is no better and more fruitful place than the German Industrial Mittelstand with its broad ecosystem of solution providers. The Channel Executive we are looking for will be responsible for growing and developing a strategy to generate incremental pipeline, increase sales productivity, improve alliances, and close business leveraging database partners. You'll come with an informed and compelling point of view on the IoT landscape and database platform space and will incubate our newly formed Munich subsidiary together with a cross-functional team. 



  • Build the channel: Develop and manage Partner relationship with direct reporting to CCO
  • Own New ACV quota & pipeline creation for CrateDB through partners
  • Build and execute go to market programs (co-selling and co-marketing) with IoT partners
  • Drive enablement and field alignment activities to deliver incremental CrateDB revenue with partners
  • Team with the extended sales team for backup and support
  • Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly and annual bookings objectives




  • 5+years experience selling enterprise technology in a fast-paced and competitive market
  • Ability to articulate and sell the business value of platform technologies, IoT and big data and the impact on businesses of all sizes
  • Confidence and maturity to discuss with different roles at CxO level
  • Highly motivated, over achiever, team player with exceptional presentation skills
  • A sales closer with an entrepreneurial spirit/mindset, flexibility toward dynamic change
  • Goal oriented, with a track record of overachievement
