Requirements


WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE

  • Proven experience as a site reliability engineer or similar role (3years+)
  • Experience with one of the following languages Python, Go, Java or similar
  • Experience working with container-based deployments with focus on Kubernetes
  • Deep understanding of Linux system internals
  • Strong experience in application administration
  • Knowledge about common benchmarking and debugging tools
  • Knowledge of Cloud hosting providers, such as Azure, AWS or similar
  • Familiar with SQL
  • Comprehensive understanding of distributed systems
  • Instinct to solve problems with quantitative measurement and analysis 
  • High affinity to transform customer needs into infrastructure and application architecture
  • Craftsmanship to continuously improve and take over responsibility for existing code
  • Ability to find problem specific solutions
  • Fluent English

  

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with an agile, cross functional team
  • Manage and provision of infrastructure through code
  • Optimize, run and manage Linux based systems
  • Optimize and benchmark infrastructure and database backed applications
  • Take responsibility for our systems availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response
  • Work with product and project development teams to help them avoid, investigate and resolve reliability culprits
  • Continuously increase the sophistication of monitoring and reporting of systems metrics
  • Do research and derive customer implementation
